HCMC – The HCMC Party Committee has merged its two commissions – Information-Education and Mass Mobilization – into a single entity called the Information-Education and Mass Mobilization Commission.

Nguyen Manh Cuong, formerly head of the Mass Mobilization Commission, has been appointed as head of the newly established commission.

The announcement was made at the HCMC Party Committee’s meeting today, February 3, which outlined the restructuring, establishment, and dissolution of several Party organizations. This move is part of a nationwide effort to streamline Vietnam’s political system, in accordance with Resolution 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee (PCC).

The new commission will inherit and oversee the responsibilities previously managed by its two predecessors. Its organizational structure, operational guidelines, and internal coordination will align with regulations set by the PCC.

Nguyen Thi Bach Mai will serve as the commission’s permanent deputy head, alongside Le Hong Son, Tang Huu Phong, Tran Van Khuyen, Nguyen Tho Truyen, and Tran Xuan Dien as deputy heads.
