HCMC – The speedboat service linking Bach Dang Wharf in HCMC’s District 1 with the Cu Chi Tunnels and the neighboring province of Binh Duong has been suspended in line with the municipal government’s directive over the suspension of services and restriction on gatherings to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The HCMC Department of Transport has written to Greenlines DP Technology Co., Ltd, which operates the speedboat, the Port Authority of Inland Waterway Area No. 3 and the city’s Inland Waterway Port Authority announcing the suspension of the District 1-Binh Duong-Cu Chi express ship service.
The department asked the speedboat operator to inform the public about the suspension via local media channels and regularly check the ship to ensure the safety of operations, Nguoi Lao Dong Online reported.
The speedboat plying a 78-kilometer route takes passengers to destinations such as Bach Dang Wharf, Tiamo Wharf in Thu Dau Mot City of Binh Duong, and Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc in HCMC’s outlying district of Cu Chi.
