A father and son duo have embarked on a photography project documenting daily life in HCMC, offering a rich visual narrative of the metropolis as the city marks the 50th anniversary of the liberation of south Vietnam and the reunification of the nation.
Titled Saigon 365, the collection by photographers Nguyen Thanh Tung and Nguyen Huynh Bach features the essence of the city’s streets, people, and culture over 365 days. The project weaves together moments of tradition and modernity, depicting the fast-paced rhythm of life alongside quiet, reflective scenes.
Each photograph tells a unique story, portraying the diversity of urban life—from street vendors and historic architecture to the vibrancy of young Saigonese shaping the city’s future. The project aims to present a multidimensional view of Saigon, highlighting its dynamism and resilience.
“Saigon 365 is more than just a photo collection; it is a tribute to the city’s past, present, and future,” the authors said. “Through these images, we want to showcase the soul of Saigon—the warmth, generosity, and energy of its people.”
