HCMC – A conference connecting commercial banks and HCMC-based businesses is slated for February 28, said an official of the HCMC Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).
The conference is intended to find ways to facilitate access to credit, help businesses overcome hardships and spur the city’s growth, the news site tienphong.vn reported, citing Nguyen Duc Lenh, deputy director of the HCMC branch of the SBV.
The event will feature two sessions: a business discussion and the signing of loan agreements, with the participation of around 400 businesses.
Lenh said that commercial banks in the city had launched many credit packages valued from hundreds of billion to trillions with low-interest rates to support their clients.
So far, they have given loans of VND469 trillion to local firms, cooperatives and households, with loan interest reductions amounting to VND300 trillion.
