HCMC – The city is preparing to host HCMC FOODEX 2025, an international exhibition highlighting Vietnam’s fast-growing food processing sector.
Scheduled to take place from April 16 to 19 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, the event aims to showcase Vietnam’s food industry advancements to global audiences while fostering trade connections and investment opportunities.
Under the theme “Natural – Green – Sustainable,” HCMC FOODEX 2025 will bring together more than 350 exhibitors, featuring a diverse range of processed foods, beverages, food processing machinery, and packaging solutions. Over 100 domestic and international buyers from 15 countries and territories have confirmed participation, with organizers arranging more than 1,000 matchmaking sessions to connect businesses, suppliers, and distributors, including AEON, Lotte, and Central Retail.
A key highlight of this year’s event is the “Master Chef of FOODEX 2025” competition, which will feature culinary experts from Vietnam, the U.S., and across Asia. The competition aims to celebrate Vietnamese cuisine while fostering collaboration among chefs, food professionals, and hospitality enterprises.
Vietnam’s food and beverage industry, a key pillar of the economy, has expanded rapidly, driven by rising consumer demand and the push for global market expansion.
HCMC, as the nation’s economic hub, has played a leading role in promoting green production methods and digital transformation to enhance food quality and sustainability. Local authorities have also emphasized strategic planning, with a development roadmap extending to 2050, to ensure safe, traceable, and environmentally responsible food processing.
With a lineup of product showcases, knowledge-sharing seminars, and B2B meetings, HCMC FOODEX 2025 is expected to strengthen Vietnam’s global position in the food industry and highlight the country’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and high-quality food production.
