Must read

HCMC – The HCMC Tourism Department is working on a list of 18 two- to five-star hotels that can be used as paid quarantine facilities for foreign experts, investors and managers entering the city on work, reported Nguoi Lao Dong Online.

The tourism facilities include one five-star hotel, seven four-star hotels, seven three-star hotels and three two-star hotels, with 1,371 rooms in total.

The municipal tourism and health departments will team up with relevant agencies to review and assess the hotels in the coming time before submitting the list to the city government for approval.

Regarding activities to help travel businesses recover operations, the Tourism Department said it had worked with the HCMC Tourism Association on a plan to introduce tourism stimulus packages during the rest of the year.

Further, the Vietnam International Travel Mart 2020 will be held between November 18 and 21 in the capital city of Hanoi after being postponed twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Vu The Binh, vice chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said in an announcement sent to provincial associations, tourism promotion agencies and businesses across the industry nationwide.

Up to now, scores of Covid-19 preventive measures have been eased as Vietnam has brought the pandemic under control. The country has not recorded any new Covid-19 case via community transmission for 14 days.
