HCMC – Nearly 760,000 books were sold last year on Nguyen Van Binh Street, a well-known book street in HCMC, generating total revenue of nearly VND60 billion, up 15% against the previous year.
Le Hoang, director of HCMC Book Street Company, said at a recent meeting that the book booths along the street generated total sales of VND59.32 billion. The year was bustling with literary events, including book fairs and exchange programs, with a total of 275 such activities taking place.
The number of visitors to the book street grew by an estimated 10% compared to the previous year.
