HCMC – Heineken has chosen Siemens as its strategic partner for a multi-phase decarbonization program spanning over 15 of its breweries and malt houses worldwide.

The effort’s primary objective is to significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Heineken aims to achieve a 50% reduction in carbon emissions and a substantial decrease in energy consumption at more than 15 of its facilities worldwide by 2025.

This project encompasses regions across Asia, the Americas, and Europe, leveraging cutting-edge technology provided by Siemens.

The collaboration between the two companies will focus on optimizing heating and cooling processes while transitioning to renewable energy sources to achieve substantial reductions in emissions.

“By collaborating on an end-to-end program, we are able to combine hardware, software and analytics to predict and deliver the long-term results which are now crucial to every industry,” said Matthias Rebellius, managing board member of Siemens AG and CEO of Smart Infrastructure.

With a five-year partnership agreement with Siemens, Heineken aims to continuously monitor and fine-tune its operations for maximum impact.

This initiative aligns with Heineken’s roadmap to achieve net-zero emissions throughout its entire value chain by 2040.
