HCMC – Four patients receiving treatment at Hoa Binh General Hospital aged 24 to 25, who are among the 85 overseas students who returned to Vietnam from Russia on July 17, were declared free from Covid-19 by the provincial Center for Disease Control today, August 4.
The patients—three men and one woman—were sent to a centralized quarantine center in Hoa Binh City upon their arrival.
Director of the hospital Bui Thi Hang told VietnamPlus that as of August 3, the four had tested negative for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, three times.
As such, they are eligible to be discharged from the hospital. They will continue to remain in home quarantine and follow Covid-19 infection prevention and control measures in line with the Ministry of Health’s regulations, noted Hang.
Apart from this, five others who are among the 85 overseas students and had close contact with the four patients have completed their 14-day quarantine period.
Until now, among the 652 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Vietnam, as many as 374 patients have made a full recovery and have been discharged from hospitals.
