HCMC – A blaze erupted at a tire recycling factory in District 12 in HCMC today, June 6, creating a giant column of black smoke.
Around 9:00 a.m. on the day, the fire was found and rapidly engulfed the facility near several wood and paper manufacturing factories on Street T15 in An Phu Dong Ward. Many residents and workers tried to extinguish the inferno but in vain, the local media reported.
Many fire trucks and fighters were dispatched to the scene to put the fire out. At 11:00 a.m., dozens of firefighters were still making progress against the blaze at the tire plant covering over 1,000 square meters.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
