HCMC – Thanh Cong (TC) Group, the assembler of Hyundai vehicles in Vietnam, has said it saw a month-on-month drop of 6% in Hyundai car sales to 5,449 units.

Among the best-selling Hyundai models, TC Group sold 1,417 units of Hyundai Creta last month, an increase of 44.9% over July. With this volume, Hyundai Creta has now outsold other models and is leading as the brand’s top seller.

Hyundai Accent came second with 1,172 cars, followed by Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Tucson with 838 and 765 units sold to the market, respectively.

However, considering the month-on-month performance, the total sales of 5,449 cars in August is a marked fall among the annual statistics.

In the first eight months of 2022, TC Group managed to clock total sales of 47,638 units from the Korean carmaker to Vietnam’s market, up 18.3% over the same period in 2021.
