HCMC – Investors in 65 out of the total 85 renewable energy transition projects, with a combined capacity of 3,640 MW, have written to Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) proposing pricing negotiations before purchase agreements are reached, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Of these projects, 56 have proposed tentative prices equaling to 50% of the price ceiling set by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
EVN confirmed that it has concluded price negotiations and approved power purchase agreements with 51 investors. Among them, tentative prices for 40 projects have been authorized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Nine out of 10 projects that submitted documents for recognition of the commercial operation date (COD) have received official approval for power generation.
Till now, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has granted works acceptance for 19 projects, issued power operation licenses for 27 projects, and extended the investment policy for an additional 24 projects.
