HCMC – The two primary border gates of Lang Son Province in northern Vietnam — Tan Thanh and Huu Nghi — have resumed customs clearance for registered cargo from February 14, the fifth and final day of the week-long Lunar New Year holiday (Tet).
Operated by the Dong Dang – Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, these border crossings are expected to return to full operation by February 18.
Tan Thanh and Huu Nghi serve as pivotal points for the import and export activities of the province. The commodities traded through these gates include fresh fruits such as mango, jackfruit, dragon fruit and watermelon.
On February 14 alone, 110 trucks loaded with fresh fruits completed customs declarations at the Tan Thanh border gate.
Huu Nghi International Border Gate also saw a notable surge in cargo trucks undergoing customs clearance procedures on the fifth day of Tet.
