HCMC – The government of Cam Ranh City in Khanh Hoa Province has decided to ban all tourism activities on Binh Ba and Binh Hung islands for security reasons.
The move ensures safety and security for the Cam Ranh military base in line with the prime minister’s Decision 44 dated September 2015.
The municipal government told that the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism to inform tour operators of the ban, the local media reported. This means travel firms must erase contents related to tourism on the two islands on their websites.
Binh Ba and Binh Hung islands off Cam Ranh City are among the most attractive tourist sites in the central coastal province. A series of lodging facilities have quickly mushroomed on the islands to tap the tourism market.
In 2019, the Khanh Hoa Department of Planning and Investment revoked two tourism projects on Binh Ba and Binh Hung over security concerns.
