Lacquer Art Exhibition returns to HCMC

The Third Northern Lacquer Art Exhibition, known as “Son Mai Bac,” has made a triumphant return to HCMC after a four-year hiatus, growing in popularity. Featuring the latest paintings created by a collective of eight renowned artists from northern Vietnam, this art exhibition is being hosted at the Ho Chi Minh Museum of Fine Arts from November 3 to November 12, 2023. “We are genuinely delighted to have had the opportunity to meet many individuals at this exhibition, especially numerous artists from different regions and of various ages who practice lacquer art in a spectrum of styles, ranging from the northern style to the southern style,” remarked Vu Tuan Dung, one of the participating artists and an art lecturer from Hanoi. “Through this networking, I find inspiration to expand and refine my lacquer techniques while preserving the art’s fundamental spirit,” he added.
