HCMC – Domestic retail fuel prices were revised downward at 3 p.m. today, August 26, according to an announcement jointly issued by the Industry and Trade and Finance ministries.
Accordingly, the bio-fuel E5 RON92 price dropped by VND607 per liter to VND19,891, while RON95 petrol is now priced at VND21,131 per liter, down VND550.
The retail prices of diesel oil and kerosene also fell by VND506 per liter to VND15,667 and VND417 per liter to VND14,762, respectively, and that of heavy fuel oil dropped by VND350 per kilogram to VND15,055.
During this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to charge buyers of bio-fuel E5 RON92 to replenish the national fuel price stabilization fund. However, the ministries charge buyers VND150 for each liter of RON95 petrol, VND400 for each liter of diesel oil or kerosene and VND300 for each kilogram of heavy fuel oil.
On the other hand, local fuel traders were allowed to tap the fund at VND950 for each liter of bio-fuel E5 RON92 sold to customers. RON95 petrol, diesel oil, kerosene and heavy fuel oil are not entitled to this fund for this adjustment.
