Local fuel prices slide further

HCMC – Domestic fuel retail prices were revised down over VND1,000 per liter today, September 12, according to an announcement jointly issued by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.

The RON 95-III gasoline now sells for VND23,215 per liter, down VND1,015 per liter, while bio-gasoline E5 RON 92 fell by VND1,128 to VND22,230 per liter.

The respective prices of diesel oil, kerosene and heavy fuel oil are capped at VND24,180, VND24,418 and VND15,039 per liter or kilogram, dropping by VND1,008, VND1,027 and VND1,038.

In this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries decided to impose a surcharge on all fuels to replenish the national fuel price stabilization fund. The respective surcharges on each liter of bio-fuel E5 RON92 and RON95 gasoline are VND451 and VND450.

The extraction levels for each liter or kilogram of diesel oil, kerosene and heavy fuel oil are VND90, VND200 and VND741.

Meanwhile, local fuel traders are not allowed to tap the fund, the local media reported.
