Long Hau to pay 19% cash dividend

HCMC – Long Hau Corporation (HOSE: LHG) will pay a 19% cash dividend to shareholders in August, meaning that shareholders will get VND1,900 for every share held.

With over 50 million outstanding shares, the firm will spend over VND95 billion on the dividend payment.

In the first quarter of this year, the company recorded a 34.1% revenue decline over the same period last year, at VND76.25 billion. Net profit dropped by 32.3% year-on-year to VND31.45 billion.

Closing the trading session today, July 10, its LHG shares fell by 1.92% to VND40,900 per share.

The benchmark VN-Index lost 7.77 points, 0.60%, at 1,285.94 points today, with losers outnumbering winners by 299 to 151.

The total trading volume reached 751 million shares worth over VND21.8 trillion, dropping by 8.6% in volume but barely changed in value compared to the previous session. Block deals accounted for 72.9 million shares worth VND 3.9 trillion.

The VN30-Index of the VN30 basket, which groups the 30 largest-cap stocks, dropped by 0.82% to 1,310.91 points, with only six stocks advancing and 23 others dipping.

GVR was the steepest decliner with a 2.63% drop. Other bluechips such as FPT, MWG and BCM also weighed on the market as they decreased by between 2.1% and 2.5%.

HPG was the most traded stock on the market with nearly 31 million shares transacted, closing down by 0.17% to VND28,950 per share.

In the banking sector, only six stocks rose, with EIB and OCB gaining over 1%. LPB fell by 2.35%, and STB, BID, HDB, MSB, and VPB edged down by more than 1%.

The securities sector saw all stocks ending lower. TVS and TVB fell over 2.3%, ORS and VDS dropped by around 1.9%, and FTS and BSI slipped by 1.7%.

In the real estate sector, NVT and NTL hit their daily ceiling prices of VND10,450 and VND26,650, respectively. However, many other stocks in the sector slumped between 2% to 4%.

The HNX-Index lost 1.12 points, or 0.46%, to close at 244.54 points, with 61 advancers and 93 decliners. There were 64 million shares valued at VND1.5 trillion changing hands on the northern bourse.
