HCMC – Vietnam has had contrasting weather patterns across its regions on the last day of the lunar calendar, February 9, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Northern provinces are experiencing a cold air mass while it is hot in the daytime in southern provinces.

Northern Vietnam may see sparse rainfall accompanied by low temperatures. Northeastern provinces are facing particularly cold weather, with some areas experiencing freezing conditions.

From Nghe An Province to Ha Tinh Province, sporadic light rain is expected, contributing to the overall cold atmosphere. Provinces from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh may see showers and thunderstorms.

In contrast, hot and dry weather is forecast for southern regions. Southern provinces may see clear skies during the day, with temperatures ranging from 22-25 degrees Celsius at night and soaring up to 31-34 degrees Celsius in the daytime.
