Military, police forces rehearse for April 30 parade

HCMC – Thirty-six military and police units conducted a large-scale joint rehearsal in Dong Nai Province today, April 11, to prepare for the upcoming parade marking the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the nation on April 30.
This is the first full-scale practice session ahead of the celebration ceremony
The rehearsal begins with an aerial display featuring 10 Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters carrying the Party and national flags, followed by Yak-130 and Su-30MK2 fighter jets flying in formation over Dong Nai Province
On the ground, men are seen in a goose-stepping march past the ceremonial stage
Each unit chants slogans in unison
Among the marching contingents were United Nations peacekeeping police officers of Vietnam
Military bands, and female officers from the communications unit

Each marching formation consists of eight soldiers at the front, two of whom carried the national flag, followed by 100 personnel arranged in ten rows
Cavalry units also take part, with 62 horses led by trained riders
