HCMC – Mondelez Kinh Do has launched the “Trash Right” initiative in Binh Duong Province, aiming to inspire students to engage in waste recycling and environmental protection activities.

The initiative has been piloted at two schools, Tuy An 1 Primary School and Binh Thuan Primary School in Thuan An City, with more than 3,000 students, 100 teachers, local government representatives, and 40 volunteers participating.

Under the program, Mondelez Kinh Do has introduced a tailor-made training program for primary school educators. This program equips them with knowledge about recycling, reusing, proper waste collection and sorting techniques, and sustainable development.

Throughout the program, students have actively taken part in waste classification and collection initiatives at home. As a result, nearly 0.6 ton of waste was successfully sorted and collected during two-day events held at the schools.

Mondelez Kinh Do has also facilitated the establishment of waste collection and sorting facilities within the schools, boosting students’ participation in waste management.

To further support these efforts, the company has provided tables and chairs made from recycled plastic to the participating schools. This not only improves the school facilities but also serves as a visual inspiration for students to embrace waste recycling and environmental conservation.
