Mondelez Kinh Do organizes Supplier Workshop aiming to connect local egg suppliers nationwide for the sources of sustainable ingredients (cage-free eggs).
Responding to the global cage-free movement and carrying out the plan of sustainable ingredients, Mondelez Kinh Do has made efforts to source and partnered with egg producers across the country that meet the requirements for cage-free egg supply. Recently, the Company has organized the Supplier Workshop to connect supply and demand for sustainable ingredients (cage-free eggs) at Mondelez Kinh Do’s factory in Hung Yen Province. This is part of action plans to materialize the Company’s strategy to bring the right snacks, for the right moment and made the right way to consumers in line with its sustainable development strategy in Vietnam.
At the event, representatives of Mondelez Kinh Do shared the company’s vision and mission to 2030, its sustainable development strategy in Vietnam, as well as vendor management, including purchasing process, supplier selection criteria, material selection criteria, and the strategy of transition to cage-free eggs of Mondelez Kinh Do in Vietnam.
As part of Mondelez International’s business strategy towards sustainable ingredients sourcing, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam will switch to using cage-free eggs for producing all of its products in the future. Since the end of 2022, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam has taken a pioneering step in launching Solite Nature Fresh sponge cake that uses 100% cage-free eggs. This is the most premium product of the Solite line, and Mondelez Kinh Do is the first company in Vietnam’s food industry using cage-free eggs with Certified Humane label from HFAC (Humane Farm Animal Care).
