HCMC – Mong Cai City in Quang Ninh Province welcomed a group of 350 tourists entering Vietnam through the Mong Cai border gate on the first day of the Lunar New Year.
Mong Cai City Party Secretary Hoang Ba Nam greeted the first group of visitors with flowers and lucky money.
Border officials from both Vietnam and China are maintaining full operations during the holiday to facilitate cross-border travel. Entry procedures are being carried out according to regulations, with clear instructions to ensure smooth processing.
Mong Cai border gate is expected to welcome over 12,000 tourists visiting Quang Ninh and other destinations in Vietnam. The increase in arrivals signals a strong start for the city’s tourism sector in 2025.
In 2024, Mong Cai recorded over four million tourist arrivals, the highest ever, reinforcing its position as a green, smart, and safe tourism destination.
