HCMC – Vietnam reported no fresh cases of Covid-19 this morning, August 22, leaving the country’s Covid-19 infections staying unchanged at 1,009, said the Health Ministry.
To date, the number of locally-transmitted cases in the country has reached 667, including 527 cases linked to the Danang coronavirus hotspot since July 25.
Of the nation’s tally, 545 Covid-19 patients have fully recovered, 438 others are under treatment, and 25 have died so far.
Besides, over 104,000 people having close contact with Covid-19 patients or returning to Vietnam from countries and regions hit by the pandemic are being quarantined at hospitals, isolation centers or at home, said the national committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control, under the ministry.
