No new locally-infected cases of Covid-19 reported Saturday morning

HCMC – Vietnam reported no fresh Covid-19 cases by community transmission on Saturday morning, February 6, keeping the nation’s tally unchanged at 1,976 cases, said the Health Ministry.

Up to now, the country has reported 1,087 locally-transmitted cases, with 394 of them being recorded since January 27. Also, 1,465 Covid-19 patients have fully recovered, while fatalities remained at 35.

Regarding six cases in Dien Bien Province, the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology announced at 1 p.m. on February 5 that three of them were infected with the coronavirus and they were confirmed as coronavirus patients by the Health Ministry yesterday evening.

The three others testing negative included one student of Hanoi National University of Education in Hanoi’s Cau Giay District and one student of Tri Duc High School in the captital city’s Nam Tu Liem District.

The Health Ministry had sent a team of top health experts to Dien Bien to help the northern province fight the deadly disease.
