In related news, during a working session with the Government’s working team led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 27, Dong Nai Chairman Cao Tien Dung proposed the Government provide the province two million more doses of Covid vaccine.

As the province is planning to separate positive Covid-19 cases from the community by conducting mass Covid testing, the provincial chairman also asked for the prime minister’s support for one million test kits.

Besides, the province proposed the Government send 50 doctors to aid the province in the fight against the pandemic, plus 100 ventilators and 1,000 medical syringe pumps to serve Covid-19 treatment, the local media reported.

To put the pandemic under control, Chairman Dung also proposed the ministries of Health and National Defense and northern provinces to continue dispatching medical workers and anti-forces to the province to join its fight against Covid-19.

Dong Nai Province is the country’s third largest coronavirus hotspot, after HCMC and Binh Duong, reporting 22,264 Covid-19 cases in the ongoing fourth Covid wave.
