Must read

Tu Van Pagoda in the central city of Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa Province, is famously known as the “Pagoda of Seashells.” Established in 1968, this unique pagoda is adorned with millions of seashells, all carefully collected by the monks.

The pagoda is a popular destination not only for pilgrims but also for tourists fascinated by the intricate use of seashells that decorate its gates, walls, and fences.

One of the most remarkable features of Tu Van Pagoda is the Bao Tich Tower, constructed almost entirely from seashells and dead coral reefs. Additionally, the pagoda’s “18 Levels of Hell” cave is similarly decorated with a vast array of seashells, creating a unique and thought-provoking atmosphere.

Through its distinctive seashell structures, Tu Van Pagoda aims to convey a message of purity, a deep connection with nature, and the importance of respecting the natural world.
