Suoi Chieu Lake, high up in the majestic mountainous area in Northwest Vietnam, was formed by small streams, when the local government of Muong Thai Commune, Phu Yen District, Son La Province, blocked a dam to create an irrigation reservoir 10 years ago.
The lake bed area is from 50 to 70 hectares (depending on dry and rainy seasons). At the attractive tourist destination, one can admire the picturesque view created by mountains, clouds and the sky during a boat trip on the Suoi Chieu Lake. Visitors can see the stilt houses of the Muong ethnic people around the lake or go fishing in the lake.
