HCMC – PetroVietnam General Services Corporation (Petrosetco), whose PET shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE), plans to issue more than 48 million shares through a stock dividend and bonus share program.
Petrosetco has approved a plan to issue shares for its 2025 stock dividend and bonus shares from equity, with a combined ratio of 45%, comprising a 5% stock dividend and a 40% bonus share issue.
The company plans to issue more than 48.02 million more shares, with the issuance expected to take place between the second and third quarters of 2026, subject to approval by the State Securities Commission.
If both share issues are successfully completed, Petrosetco’s charter capital is expected to increase from VND1.07 trillion to VND1.55 trillion.
In the first quarter of 2026, Petrosetco reported revenue of VND6.13 trillion, up 52.6% from a year earlier, while after-tax profit rose 125.5% year-on-year to VND100.83 billion. Its gross profit margin improved to 5.9% from 4.8% in the same period last year.
Closing the trading session today, May 4, PET inched up 0.5% day-on-day to VND50,200, with 10.2 million shares changing hands.
On the southern bourse, 140 stocks advanced and 164 others declined, with the VN-Index rising 12.54 points, or 0.69%, to 1,831.55.
Total trading volume reached more than 601.3 million shares worth VND22.12 trillion, down nearly 17% in volume and up 8% in value against yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions involving 25.29 million VIC shares alone accounted for nearly VND5 trillion of that value.
Among VN30 stocks, fuel distributor PLX remained a key support for the market, hitting its daily limit of VND41,850, up 6.9%, with more than 6.4 million shares traded.
Investor sentiment was buoyed by plans from the company to sell its entire treasury stock holding of more than 23 million shares. Another notable blue chip was STB, which gained 6.5% to VND70,400, with trading volume exceeding 10.8 million shares.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index lost 12.62 points, or 3.98% day-on-day to 304.86 points, with 65 winners and 67 losers. More than 47.5 million shares worth VND776.3 billion were traded.
