HCMC – The organizers of the photography festival “Heritage and You”, aware of the multiple difficulties the people are facing in the fight against Covid-19, have decided to expand the topics and extend the duration of the event so that it can accommodate more pandemic-affected entries from participants.
Specifically, participants can send photos with more diverse topics, be it a positive view regarding the fight against the pandemic or an effort to curb the virus’ spread, and can do so until August 23 instead of August 9 as initially scheduled.
For each photo sent to noivongtaylon@thesaigontimes.vn, a donation of VND20,000 will be made for the “Saigon Times – Noi Vong Tay Lon – Winning the Fight against Covid-19” program. This amount is set aside by Nam A Bank to help the disadvantaged overcome difficulties amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In July, Sai Gon Tiep Thi Online launched this event, scheduled for July 13 to August 9, with an intention to encourage locals to travel within Vietnam and preserve the country’s heritage sites. Participants were initially requested to submit their photos on the country’s heritage sites for the photo festival.
According to the organizers, “Heritage and You” is now extended because Vietnam has entered the second phase of the fight against Covid-19. And this phase is deemed even tougher than the first one.
