PM Chinh leaves for Turkey, COP28 in UAE

HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse left Hanoi this afternoon, November 28, to begin an official visit to Turkey and to attend the 28th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) in the UAE.

The November 28-December 3 tour comes at the invitations of the governments of Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The itinerary includes an official welcome ceremony on November 29, followed by talks with the Vice President of Turkey and the signing of cooperation agreements between the two nations.

PM Chinh will have meetings with Turkish leaders, participate in a business forum, and meet with the executives of corporations, among other activities.

The visit coincides with the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Turkey, and marks the first official visit to Turkey by a Vietnamese Prime Minister.

Following the Turkey visit, PM Chinh will attend COP28, scheduled for December 1 to 2 in the UAE.

During this conference, he will deliver a speech on climate change and engage in essential activities with international partners to mobilize resources and support Vietnam in achieving its commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050.
