HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for a concerted effort to expedite the implementation of key infrastructure projects, particularly in the transportation sector.

Presiding over the 13th meeting of the national steering committee for key transportation infrastructure projects today, August 8, PM Chinh underscored the critical role of these projects in achieving Vietnam’s goal of having 3,000 kilometers of expressways by 2025 and 5,000 kilometers by 2030.

The meeting, held both in-person and virtually with representatives from 44 provinces and cities, reviewed the progress of various infrastructure projects and discussed solutions to address outstanding challenges.

PM Chinh highlighted the progress made on several projects, including the completion of two expressway projects totaling 693 kilometers and the recent operation of the elevated section of the Nhon-Hanoi Station urban railway.

However, he acknowledged that some projects have faced delays due to issues such as land clearance, material supply, and administrative procedures.

The PM directed relevant ministries and agencies to expedite the resolution of outstanding issues and ensure that projects are completed on schedule.
