HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a working group to inspect the construction site of the HCMC Beltway No. 3 in Long An Province today, July 25.

During the visit, he came to the areas where the road intersects with other key roads, including the HCMC-Trung Luong Expressway and the Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway.

The delegation accompanying the prime minister includes Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Long An Party Committee Nguyen Van Duoc, and Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Phan Van Mai.

PM Chinh urged local authorities to expedite work on the site clearance phase, which is currently 97% complete, and ensure a steady supply of construction materials for the project.

The project entails the construction of a four-lane expressway along with two additional roads on each side. The expressway will have a maximum speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour, while the two adjacent roads will have a maximum speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour.

Upon its full completion, the HCMC Beltway No. 3 will span 76.34 kilometers, linking HCMC with the neighboring provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An.
