HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has told the Ministry of Finance to monitor and inspect livestreaming sales and impose penalties on individuals who violate regulations.

The instruction is included in Official Dispatch No. 56 signed by the PM. The dispatch requires ministries and local authorities to enhance management in e-commerce and digital business.

The document mandates the Ministry of Industry and Trade to continue working with the Ministry of Finance to inspect and address violations in the e-commerce sector, particularly targeting businesses, households, and individuals who fail to file for taxes as required.

The Ministry of Finance will have to work with relevant agencies to streamline administrative procedures, making it easier for taxpayers to comply with tax payment requirements.

Agencies are also required to build a database for tax management related to e-commerce, utilizing modern technology and risk management methods for e-commerce activities and businesses on digital platforms.

The related ministries need to coordinate efforts to enhance tax management for Internet service providers and cross-border digital content service providers.
