Proposal for expansion of access road to HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expy

HCMC – The HCMC Department of Transport has reported to the municipal People’s Committee the VEC’s proposal to expand the road leading to the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway.

According to the Department of Transport, Vietnam Expressway Services Engineering Joint Stock Company (VEC) has prepared a plan to expand the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway to the scale of eight lanes, the section from An Phu intersection to the intersection of Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway.

Among these, VEC proposed the Ministry of Transport assign the HCMC People’s Committee to expand the access road to the expressway from An Phu intersection to Beltway No. 2 as it is the inner-city road and under the management of the city.

The 4-kilometer-long access road will be upgraded to have eight lanes with a width of 36 meters, making it synchronous with the works of the An Phu intersection, having been executed since late 2022 and the expansion of the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway in the future.

The city will take responsibility for implementing the project as approved by the Ministry of Transport, with funding being sourced from the city budget.

The project, which will need an investment cost of VND1,123.9 billion, is expected to be executed in the 2nd quarter of 2025 and completed in 2027.
