HCMC – Lawmakers have decided to introduce draft revisions of the Land Law to the public to get feedback.
At its 18th session on December 13, the National Assembly Standing Committee reached a consensus to gather public feedback on the draft of the revised Land Law and issues relating to the legitimate rights and benefits of residents, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
The Government is requested to review crucial issues to obtain public opinion and feedback, which must be carried out transparently, effectively and economically, lawmakers said.
It will be collected through written documents, conferences, seminars and talk shows; through the e-portals of the National Assembly, the Government, the Ministry of Resources and Environment, media outlets and organizations; and social surveys, among others. These methods will create favorable conditions for Vietnamese at home and abroad to contribute their opinions to the draft revision.
The collection of public opinion aims to mobilize the intellect of the Vietnamese people, create a consensus and secure the feasibility of the revised law upon validation.
The gathering of public opinion shall coincide with the Lunar New Year and go on until March 15, 2023, or even longer due to its complexities.
