HCMC – The Party Central Committee today, August 16, elected Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security and Minister of Public Security, as member of the Politburo.
The new addition brough the total number of Politburo members to 15.
The Party Central Committee also added three more members to the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, namely Nguyen Duy Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army; and Le Minh Tri, member of the Party Central Committee, secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Supreme People’s Procuracy and chief prosecutor of the Supreme People’s Procuracy.
