HCMC – PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution JSC (PV GAS D), which trades its PGD shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has planned to pay a 45% dividend in cash for 2022, equivalent to VND4,500 per share.
With around 90 million shares in circulation, PV GAS D will spend around VND405 billion paying dividends to its existing shareholders.
The company will finalize the list of shareholders to receive dividends for 2022 on July 21. The payment is scheduled to be made on September 28.
PV GAS D planned to issue nearly nine million shares to existing shareholders at a ratio of 10:1, meaning shareholders can buy one share for every 10 shares held.
Regarding its business performance, PV GAS D earned revenue of over VND2.29 trillion in the first quarter of this year, down 13.94% year-on-year.
Thanks to the 17.1% year-on-year decrease in input costs and a surge in revenue from financial investment, the company recorded an after-tax profit of VND111.44 billion, up 27.21% over the same period last year.
By the end of the first quarter, the company had accomplished 23.88% of the year’s revenue target and 52.17% of the profit target.
Closing the trading session today, July 6, PGD shares rose by 2.8% to VND47,800 per share, with 37,500 shares changing hands.
Regarding the stock market, the VN-Index of the HCMC exchange slid 8.4 points, or 0.74%, from the session earlier, at 1,126.22 points, with decliners outnumbering advancers by 339 to 94.
Trade volume totaled 921.1 million shares worth VND18.6 trillion, up 14% and 8% in volume and value, respectively, against the previous day.
Many blue-chips continued to slide in the market. Real estate developer VHM led the decline, dropping by 2.9% to VBD54,500, followed by VCB with a decrease of 1.3% to VND100,700. These two stocks dragged the VN-Index down by over three points.
VRE, VPB, NVL, PDR and STB stocks dropped between 2% and 2.7%. Meanwhile, VIC and lenders MBB, ACB, TCB, HDB, and VIB lost 1% to 1.9%.
GVR was the best performer today, as it increased 3% to VND20,700. HPG, MSN, BVH, TPB, SSI, VNM, and GAS showed slight improvements.
VND had a record-breaking trading volume of nearly 106 million shares. Remarkably, over 90 million shares were traded within just over an hour during the first half of the afternoon session.
The stock ended the morning session with a slight decrease, yet the selling pressure caused the stock to plunge by 6.5% and settled at VND18,050 per share at the end of the trading session today.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index slid 2.76 points, or 1.21%, to 225.08 points, with 44 winners and 138 losers. The total trading volume reached 109.1 million shares, with a value of over VND1.69 trillion.
