HCMC – Trinh Quynh Giao is the new general director at PVI Asset Management Joint Stock Company (PVI AM), a subsidiary of PVI Holdings.
According to the board of directors at PVI Holdings, Giao left her post as chief investment officer at PVI to take up the new post at PVI AM, the local media reported.
Giao is an experienced expert in the fields of investment, strategic planning, investment consulting, and corporate finance.
Before joining PVI as PVI Holdings chief investment officer and PVI AM vice chairwoman, Giao had worked at many investment funds such as Red River Holding and Indochina Capital and many enterprises associated with the investment funds.
PVI Holdings is currently the largest shareholder of PVI AM with an 89% stake.
PVI AM manages two investment funds, namely PVI Opportunity Investment Fund (POF) and PVI Infrastructure Investment Fund (PIF) with the respective charter capital of VND2,000 billion and VND1,500 billion.
Closing the trading session today, September 28, PVI shed 4.85% against the previous session at VND41,200.
On the HCMC bourse, the benchmark VN-Index lost 22.92 points, or 1.96% over the session earlier at 1,143.89, with 95 winners and 366 losers.
Trade on the southern bourse improved 13.7% in volume and 11.4% in value compared to yesterday at more than 526 million shares and over VND11.6 trillion. Shares transacted in block deals contributed around VND1 trillion to the total value.
Similarly, trade on the northern bourse remained gloomy. The HNX-Index slid 3.17 points, or 1.24% versus Tuesday at 252.35, with 61 stocks advancing and 135 others declining.
More than 62 million shares valued at over VND1.1 trillion on the Hanoi bourse changed hands, up nearly 27% in volume and 9% in value day-on-day.
