HCMC – Gamuda Land Vietnam and VinaCapital Foundation have announced the launch of the ninth annual charity run, Run For The Heart 2023, to raise funds for children with congenital heart defects, after a two-year break due to the Covid pandemic.

The charity program is a combination of both online fundraising activities and the actual run. The fundraising campaign will take place over several months, with numerous activities planned. Meanwhile, the in-person run, along with a closing ceremony to announce the total donations raised from the community, will take place in HCMC on February 12, 2023. More than 10,000 participants are expected to compete in the charity run.

Speaking at the kick-off ceremony on November 24, Dennis Ng, general director of Gamuda Land Vietnam LLC, said, “The ninth Run For The Heart takes place after nearly two years of suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, I really hope the program will receive strong support from the community.”

“Together with Gamuda Land and the contribution from the community, we are motivated and determined to keep moving forward to help more children and families have better access to healthcare, better living conditions and better lives overall,” said Rad Kivette, CEO of VinaCapital Foundation.

With the message, “Heart to Heart – Raise the Lives”, Run For The Heart is an annual charity run organized since 2013 by Gamuda Land and Heartbeat Vietnam of VinaCapital Foundation.

Over the past eight events, Run For The Heart has raised more than VND35 billion, helping more than 1,300 disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects receive timely surgery, bringing a brighter future for these children and their families.
