Seminar on new urban development in Hau Giang set for next week

HCMC – The Saigon Times Group will cooperate with the Hau Giang government and HGTV television station in the province to organize a seminar titled “Hau Giang develops new urban areas” at 1 Vo Van Kiet Street, Ward 5, Vi Thanh City, on May 20.

The seminar will provide information on the development of new urban areas in the Mekong Delta province and ways to attract more investment in the province.

Hau Giang Chairman Le Tien Chau said that investment in and the development of new urban areas will contribute to creating a modern look and lifestyle that will encourage residents to join commercial and service activities.

Besides this, the development of these urban areas will be part of the project to create a nighttime economy in Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang Province, Chau stated.

The project to develop three urban areas into commercial/service and residential complexes in the province is expected to boost socioeconomic growth and ensure harmony between the agriculture and tourism sectors, local industry and green urban development to improve the locals’ quality of life.

Experts, investors, officials and entrepreneurs will share investment opportunities for the three urban area projects and other projects in Hau Giang Province at the seminar.

Attending the event will be representatives of the provincial government; the provincial People’s Council; the Hau Giang Departments of Planning and Investment, Construction and Industry and Trade; the State Bank of Vietnam’s Hau Giang branch; and some commercial banks in the province, as well as many investors, enterprises and speakers.

The seminar, set to take place from 8 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., will be broadcast live by HGTV and livestreamed on the website of Thoi Bao Kinh Te Sai Gon Online.
