HCMC – Only vaccinated people in areas at high risk of Covid transmission in Bac Lieu Province will be allowed to venture out and the local authorities will set up Covid checkpoints to monitor these areas, according to this Mekong Delta province’s new anti-Covid regulations.
Provincial Chairman Pham Van Thieu this afternoon, October 25, passed a decision supplementing regulations for safe adaptation to Covid. The supplemented regulations will be in place starting tomorrow.
Accordingly, in Level 3 areas, which are still at high risk of coronavirus transmission, only vaccinated people or those who have recovered from Covid can step out of their houses.
In Level 4 areas, which are at extremely high risk, only the fully inoculated or those having recovered from Covid are allowed to go out. In these areas, Covid checkpoints will be set up to check compliance with Covid safety measures.
For people residing in Level 1 and 2 areas, which are at low and moderate risk, they can travel as normal but must practice anti-virus measures. There will be no checkpoints in these areas.
The provincial government also asked all people traveling on freight transport vehicles to make health declarations when they enter the province.
