HCMC – Binh Duong Province has secured sufficient construction materials for component 5 of the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project, which passes through the southern province.

Binh Duong authorities said the Binh Duong section of HCMC Beltway No. 3 requires around 300,000 cubic meters of soil, 525,000 cubic meters of sand for roadbed filling, nearly 77,000 cubic meters of construction sand, and 389,000 cubic meters of stones for the current year.

While the demand for construction materials is expected to decrease over the next two years for the project in the province, the required volume remains substantial.

Following discussions with the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, six quarrying units have agreed to supply 540,000 cubic meters of sand, while eight other businesses have registered to provide 1.83 million cubic meters of stone and 1.4 million cubic meters of soil for roadbed filling.

The 26.6-kilometer section of the beltway passing through Binh Duong needs a total of VND19,280 billion.
