HCMC – Considering Vietnam as Switzerland’s key economic partner in Southeast Asia, Swiss President Viola Amherd has pledged to support the country’s development through more than 40 operational projects across various sectors.

The Swiss leader talked about it at a meeting with Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on January 17 in Davos, as part of their participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2024 in Davos, Switzerland.

Amherd highly appreciated Vietnam’s outstanding socio-economic development achievements in recent years. Switzerland will continue its official development assistance (ODA) for Vietnam and share its experiences in sustainable development and innovation, she said.

PM Chinh extended thanks to the Swiss Government for its ODA support and called for further investments from Swiss companies in Vietnam.
