HCMC – Vietnam Airlines has announced that it will move almost all domestic flights at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to the newly built Terminal T3 as from 4 a.m. on May 17 following more than 20 days of test operations.

The move aims to optimize operations and enhance the passenger experience at the new modern terminal.

The national flag carrier began trial operations at T3 in late April with flights on the HCMC-Hanoi and HCMC-Van Don routes. Starting May 17, passengers are advised to go to the new terminal when they fly domestically with Vietnam Airlines, except for services to Con Dao, Ca Mau, and Rach Gia which use ATR 72 aircraft.

Meanwhile, domestic flights operated by VietJet, Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Airways, will continue to operate from Terminal T1. Vietnam Airlines flights from HCMC to Con Dao, Ca Mau, and Rach Gia and vice versa will continue using T1 as well.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport currently has three terminals. Terminals T1 and T3 handle domestic flights, while Terminal T2 is for international services. The airport has a total annual capacity of 50 million passengers.
