The UNWTO announced a list of the Best Tourism Villages 2023 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan on October 19, having assessed 260 nominations from over 60 countries.

Four Vietnamese villages in Son La, Lai Chau, and Hoa Binh provinces sought the recognition but Tan Hoa is the only one to make it to the list.
