HCMC – Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s newly built Terminal T3 will begin handling Vietnam Airlines flights between HCMC and Van Don as from April 17, according to the Government news site (baochinhphu.vn).

The inauguration ceremony of Terminal T3 will be held during the April 30 holiday, with its official operations commencing after the peak travel period of April 30 and May 1.

Starting April 17, services for Vietnam Airlines flights between HCMC and Van Don are expected to move to Terminal T3.

By the end of April, all of the airline’s domestic flights will officially operate from Terminal T3, except for flights between HCMC and Con Dao, Ca Mau, and Rach Gia, which will continue using Terminal T1.

The new terminal will handle nearly 80% of all domestic flights to and from Tan Son Nhat. Domestic flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air will use Terminal T3.

Ahead of the terminal’s completion, the Tran Quoc Hoan-Cong Hoa road, an essential traffic artery providing direct access to the terminal, is nearing completion. The project is currently in the final stages.

Once in operation, the terminal and relevant facilities are expected to enhance overall connectivity and ease traffic congestion around the airport.
