HCMC – A trade event for the hospitality, restaurant, and café (HORECA) sector will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 5 to 7, focusing on sustainability and digital transformation.

Themed ”Shaping the future of HoReCa”, the second edition of the THAIFEX HORECA Asia is expected to attract over 400 brands from 22 countries and more than 20,000 global trade visitors. Organizers say the event will address industry challenges, including sustainability, resource management, and technological advancements.

Artificial intelligence, automation, and the Internet of Things (IoT) will be featured, highlighting solutions to improve efficiency and enhance customer experiences. The event will also showcase sustainable practices, such as zero-waste initiatives and eco-friendly sourcing for hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses.

“THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2025 will comprehensively cover all aspects of the hotel, restaurant, and catering industries,” said Wendy Lim, general manager of Koelnmesse, a global food fair organizer. She said the event will highlight trends such as digital guest experiences, contactless solutions, food waste management, and energy efficiency.

Among the highlights are the THAIFEX – HOREC Xperiential Zone, which will showcase future innovations and trends in HORECA; the THAIFEX – HOREC Academy, featuring insightful discussions on industry directions; and the THAIFEX – HOREC Innovation Awards, which recognizes outstanding industry professionals.

The trade fair will host the first live demonstrations where exhibitors showcase some of the most innovative and groundbreaking solutions that will be presented for the first time, and visitors can sign up for guided tours that include live workshops and culinary demonstrations.

Industry competitions such as the ASEAN Barista Team Championship and the Thailand Ultimate Housekeeping Challenge will return, alongside the new Asian Pizza Show Academy.

The event is organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Koelnmesse. More than 500 key buyers from major corporations are expected to attend.
