HCMC – National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, will pay an official visit to China from April 7 to 12.

The visit is made at the invitation of the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Zhao Leji, according to a announcement released by the NA’s Committee for External Relations today, April 4.

The comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China has shown steady growth.

The visit follows the historic diplomatic exchanges between the two countries, including General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to China in 2022 and the State visit to Vietnam by China’s Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping in December 2023.

During this visit, both parties issued a joint statement emphasizing their commitment to deepen their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and establish a strategic China-Vietnam community of shared future.

China remains Vietnam’s primary trading partner, with 2023 two-way trade reaching around US$172 billion. In return, Vietnam is China’s largest trading partner within ASEAN, underlining the significance of the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
