HCMC – Two workers of Kim Viet Footwear Co., Ltd in Thanh Hoa Province reportedly died today, November 24, after they had got the second Vero Cell Covid-19 vaccine dose the day earlier, according to the provincial Department of Health.
The department reported that on November 23, the medical center of Nong Cong District administered the second dose of Vero Cell to workers of Kim Viet Footwear Co., Ltd. All workers had their health checked before vaccination, according to the local media.
After their vaccinations, some workers reported side effects, with five developing severe symptoms and being diagnosed with anaphylaxis.
They were later sent to the Nong Cong General Hospital before being transferred to the provincial General Hospital. However, two of them died this morning.
The Thanh Hoa Department of Health has asked a council to determine the cause of the incident and reported the case to the Ministry of Health.
The municipal anti-Covid steering committee has asked Nong Cong District and the relevant agencies to visit the families of the deceased.
